Ukrainian War Poetry
We welcomed the Ukrainian poet and translator Yuliya Musakovska and the poet and broadcaster Olena Huseinova to Exeter in summer 2023 as part of a delegation from Lviv UNESCO City of Literature led by Hanna Khriakova. Prof. Hugh Roberts and Prof. Helen Vassallo have been promoting this intensely poignant and powerful poetry through video readings. We are privileged to co-produce a series of workshops with the Devon Ukrainian Association, ‘Ukrainian War Poetry: Translating Experience’, with the support of the University’s Bridging Communities Fund.
