Ms Ana Villoslada

I joined the University of Exeter in 2017. Since then, I've been teaching Spanish language in Modern Languages across all UG years. I worked for the Language Centre as well, and I lectured in the module Introduction to Interpreting in the MA in Translation.

I graduated in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada (Spain) in 2007, within a European study program involving two academic years abroad, in France and the UK, respectively. As a result, I hold a BA in Applied Modern Languages (Liverpool John Moores University) and a Maîtrise en Langues Etrangères Appliquées (Université Aix-Marseille I, France).

I have been teaching Spanish language since 2010. I started my teaching career at the Centro de Estudios Hispánicos (Nebrija University) after gaining a MA in Linguistics Applied to the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. My MA thesis focused on the teaching of Spanish to the Blind and sight impaired students (La Enseñanza de español como lengua extranjera a estudiantes con deficiencia visual o ceguera: propuesta didáctica de adaptación de actividades para el DELE A1.) I also gained a MA in Translation and Interpreting Studies (Jaume I University, Spain).

Being Translation and Interpreting one of my passions, I specialized in Conference Interpreting and I'm currently a PhD student in Interpreting Studies at the University of Alcalá (Madrid).

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
