Jack Warr is a SWWDTP funded PhD researcher in the Department of Languages, Cultures and Visual Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Exeter, with secondary affiliations to the Institute of Cornish Studies and Cardiff University. Their research concerns the role of literary translation in the revival of the Cornish language, investigating translators' motivations (teloi), reader reception, and the relationship between literary translation and other language planning activities.

Jack's research is supervised by Professor Francesco Goglia, Dr. Kensa Broadhurst (Exeter) and Dr. Dorota Goluch (Cardiff).
