Overview
I am originally from Galiza, north western Spain. I received my BA in Hispanic Studies (Language and Literature) from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1999). My studies included a deep analysis of Spanish (and other romance languages), its structure and phonetics from Latin to Modern Spanish; and a rich array of culture, literature, politics or history.
After being appointed Language Assistant in France by the Ministry of Education, I completed an MA in Applied Linguistics at the University of Antonio de Nebrija (Madrid).
I have a vast experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language in HE in different countries (Spain, France, China, Bangladesh,…). I have also worked as teacher trainer with different institutions and with the Ministry of Education programme for Bulgary, Czech Republik and Poland.
In 2018 I was appointed as an Associate Lecturer at University of Exeter. I am an accredited examiner for the DELE Certificates in Spanish.
